Choosing Between Standard Rocker Switches and PLC Lighting Controls

Our light-switch and dimmer range includes a 15A decorator-style rocker switch with single-pole or three-way options and a separate PLC Smart Touch Wall Switch for compatible LED dimming and CCT control.

What to Confirm Before Ordering

  1. Check whether the circuit needs single-pole or three-way switching before choosing the rocker variant.
  2. For adjustable brightness or CCT, verify that the particular LED fixture supports the specified control technology and voltage.
  3. Have the electrical installation assessed against local codes; a standard switch is not a dimmer and PLC is not the same as 0–10V or TRIAC control.

Buyer Questions

Will the 15A rocker switch dim my LED lights?

No. A standard rocker is for switching as specified by its wiring variant; it does not by itself provide continuous dimming.

Can I use a PLC touch switch with any LED downlight?

No. PLC control requires a compatible fixture and control system. Check the device and luminaire model before purchasing.
